Describe a lesson in school from the POV of the marker the teacher uses

Lesson started and I was the most hardworking in class. I heard students chattering behind as I started my work as an assistant to the teacher. It was never an easy job rubbing against the whiteboard with my head. I never understood why the teachers had to write those words on the board when no one was listening.

As my owner, Ms Leanna, was rubbing me against the board, I felt famished and my stomach grumbled. So I refused to work. She made a fuss about it for a while and then put my cap back on me. I thanked her although she didn't hear me. She knew my character very well. If I refused to work, she would know that I was hungry and tired.

With her gentle hands, Ms Leanna put me back into her pencil case where all my friends were resting. It felt good to be back home where I could not hear those ungrateful children's scary voices.

That's all for my day!

Confessions of a Street-Beggar

Many would say begging was the easiest job in the whole world. How would they know? They would not know the struggle and difficulty behind it.

"Hands out!" I would say whenever anyone rich and sophisticated walked our way.

My children would obey me and put on their most-deplorable faces. My wife and I would just sit back and watch the sorrowful scenes. Those altruistic ones would give a penny or two and walk away. I was grateful to them.

However, some ruthless ones would even dare to kick my children and tell them off. My life seemed to be the worst life that anyone would have. I had to witness my own children being treated as low-lives. I had neither legs nor hands to protect my children. My wife was mentally unstable but to an outsider, she looked perfectly normal.

With heart and lung conditions, I had no choice but to earn money through my children. Begging was my life and if we did not get money, we would cease to live. In my years of begging, I had never experienced any smooth-sailing begging. We would always either end up being robbed by gangs or in jail for illegal begging. I would never say begging was the easiest job.

The old lady sat alone in her room

Her worn-out legs made its way to the only chair in the room as she breathed in the familiar scents that lived with her. There was no reason for her to move her lips to talk about her day or make dinner. The only sound she could hear was the chattering of people next door. Her eyes gazed at a photo that settled on the only table in the room. There stubborn tears in her eyes that refused to drop.

Jake was angry at Diane’s accusations

Jake's hands immediately turned into fists as something inside of him overwhelmed. His heart drummed against his chest almost as if it is trying to escape from the cages. Fervour filled the room and Jake could almost see the intense redness on his cheeks.

" Of course, it is you! Who else could it be? You're the only poor kid here who needs that much money!" These words repeated in his mind like a broken tape. Jake could hear his conscience telling him to slap Diane for her harsh words.

Please take note

I forgot to mention in the previous post that I used the example of Thomas Edison from this website.

It would be so unfair if I just use it without acknowledging it.
You can read the stories too. It's quite interesting.

Failure: What are the pros and cons of failing?

As you all know, failure is an act of being unsuccessful. Failure is inevitable. Everyone experiences failure at some point of their lives. However, Is failure a step to a success?Or is it a roadblock on your way to success? Well, to some people, failure leads them to success. For the others, it leads them to even more failures.

Firstly, a failure to succeed will make those perseverant ones to try again and again until they succeed. Take Thomas Edison for example, he invented the light bulb, he tried over 2000 experiments before he got it to work. A young reporter asked him how it felt to fail so many times. He said, "I never failed once. I invented the light bulb. It just happened to be a 2000-step process." His story tells us that failure leads to success.

A failure is an opportunity for us to grow and become a better person because we learn from our failures. Even for those who think they know everything and that they will never become better,
a failure will be a test for them. It will help them realise that they still have room for improvement and they still have things to learn. Failure will be a good lesson for them to learn.

However, do not expect everyone to be persistent like Thomas Edison. There are some people who will fail the test of failure. Once they fail, life will be over for them. All the negative thoughts will surround them and will eventually lead them to something horrific like suicide. For example, a man took his life after failing to make enough money to settle his debts. This kind of situation is very common in this world where money is extremely important.

Failures can also be harmful to people in way that these people will stop trying to succeed. They would never want to try again because they are scared they might fail. It stops them from trying new things which in turn makes them ignorant.

Therefore, failures lead some people to greater life with success and some people to horrible life with never-ending failures. For some, a failure is the end to becoming successful but for the others, it is an opportunity for them succeed!
